Details: Overall Job Description:Under the direction of the Manager of Business Process Analysis, the Business Process Analyst (BPA) is responsible for performing business process analysis on all BOS business areas. The BPA is responsible for designing and implementing improved business processes using the business process management system (BPMS) including appropriate process documentation, process flows, use cases, business rules and data requirements. The BPA works in close collaboration with BOS business owners and stakeholders in defining key business process management (BPM) performance indicators to optimize business processes with measurable results. Required Experience EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is requiredAt least 2 years experience performing business process analysis and process modeling.Superior knowledge of Business Process Analysis methodologySuperior knowledge of Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)Demonstrated knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML), Structured Query Language (SQL), HTML, CSS, AJAX, XML, BPEL and JavaScript.Familiarity with Object Oriented (OO) Analysis and DesignAgile Methodology is a plusCertification or demonstrated experience with business process management a plus. Experience with iterative and/or agile software development methodology. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Required SkillsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (e.g., in order to be considered to perform this position, the person must be able to perform essential duties and responsibilities listed below): 1. Design and document process workflow and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness. Create business process flowcharts and related documentation to support process development, any system enhancements, and implementation of recommendations. 2. Work closely with business owners and stakeholders to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve product, service and/or program business processes. Provide recommendations for process and/or BPMS improvements and report any system problems that may prevent daily functions to the appropriate resource. 3. Review, analyze, and create detailed documentation of business process management system and user needs, including workflow, data, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify processes or systems. Prepare accurate, comprehensive and concise documentation that includes problem definition, proposed solution, detailed requirements, outstanding issues, and recommended implementation approach. 4. Develop effective BPMS reporting tools for the business unit including operational performance and quality metric standards and reports. 5. Analyze the business unit’s activities and trends and compare analyses against service standards and best practices. Present findings and work with the business owner and other personnel to identify and implement strategies that will improve business processes and operational efficiency. 6. Define, develop and implement business process management system (BPMS) quality assurance practices and procedures, end user test plans and other QA/UA assessments. Manage specific application quality assurance activities including the tracking of bug reports and change requests and ensuring their timely resolution. 7. Collaborate with business sponsors, business users, ISD development staff, QA team members and others, as necessary, to ensure that all items follow the change management process and are entered and tracked through the change management software. Ensure that all documentation accurately reflects the current status of changes and outstanding issues. 8. Coordinate BPMS changes with the applicable BOS department and update supporting BPMS documentation as required.9. Attain subject matter expertise on at least two BOS departments as well as cross-divisional business processes.10. May be assigned to train or mentor new Business Process Analysis team members. 11. Actively attain self-development through training and courses within client as well as external agencies.12.
