Details: BROAD FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION:The Project Manager role is the primary point-of-contact for planning and delivering IT solutions and ensures a timely and quality implementation that meets stakeholder expectations. Project Managers work closely with their IT team and business users to assign tasks and schedule and deploy resources as necessary. The PM tracks, manages, and communications project progress to the BTC Support Manager, Senior Manager of Corporate Systems Deliver, and Director of BTC Corporate Systems. This role is responsible for maintain client satisfaction and success relies heavily on the ability to communicate, set and maintain clear expectations with everyone involved.The Project Manager must be able to manage all aspects of the project, provide overall guidance and direction, and oversee project financial management activities. They must document and communicate progress against project schedule, anticipate and quality risks and take corrective action as necessary, review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards. They must manage client relationships and negotiate changes to commitments and scope. Project Managers must have experience with formal Project Management (PMI) and SDLC methodologies, have the ability to work well with technical and non-technical resources and take strategic direction from executive management. They must be able to see tasks through to completion with minimal guidance.The Associate Project Manager has demonstrated expertise managing 1 - 2 current projects considered low in complexity and risk, having many of the following characteristics:Scope•Initial project cost is less than $200K and under 20 person-weeks (800 hours of effort)•Impacts two or fewer different business processes•Goals are clear at the outset•Benefits do not significantly impact business operationsSchedule•Tasks are well known and defined early on•It is not implemented on an overly-aggressive scheduleResource•Requires two or fewer technical teams to complete the project•Requires one vendor to complete the project•Relevant internal subject matter experts are readily availablePRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:•Manage the planning, organization and implementation of projects with low risk and complexity.•Manage day-to-day project activities to ensure project delivery success: quality, time, cost, and scope and customer satisfaction.•Assure engagement across all stakeholders having a vested interest in project success. (Such as blueprinting, end deliverable definition, prototyping, unit & integration testing, regression testing, etc.)•Develop project schedules using estimates provided by technical subject matter experts. Ensure the schedules are realistic and within the capacity of the team members. Ensure adherence to IT processes and quality of project deliverables.•Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related contract negotiations, engaging procurement and senior IT management as needed.•Build and adhere to a communication plan to ensure key stakeholders are involved and aware of major decisions, changes, risks, incidents and milestones.•Notify impacted managers of changes to approved resources caused by changes in the project.•Oversee communication and change management with stakeholders through BA & BTC's.•Plan, track & manage internal and external resources, vendors and budgets on assigned projects.•Ensure teams work collaboratively to drive effective decisions and resolve issues.•Proactively identify, log and address risks and issues through negotiation and/or escalation.•Oversee proper transition from the System Solution Delivery and Infrastructure & Operations Build teams to the Run teams.•Formally assess 'performance' at post-project completion including Delivery, Budget, Deliverables, Processes and People.•Oversee change management deliverables and execution throughout the project lifecycle.•Conduct 'lessons learned' analysis at post-project completion.QUALIFICATIONS:•Project scheduling using Microsoft Project and a solid understanding of project management best practices. •Proven track record managing projects having low complexity and risk, delivering on time, within budget and with high quality.•Negotiation and consensus building.•Experience with computer systems development and/or business analysis.•Understanding of project budgeting and tracking.•Strong communication and presentation skills.•Attention to detail•PMP Certification and Knowledge of Lean concepts are pluses.Education: 4 year College degree or equivalent experienceYears of Experience:2WE OFFER: • Competitive salary• Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) and Pension PlanDel Monte Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer.ALL RESUMES NEED TO BE SUBMITTED THROUGH WWW.DELMONTE.COM TO BE CONSIDERED.
